Churney Gurney is back on and better than ever for 2022. Welcome back to the Churney Gurney for 2 fun packed days of riding and bragging about that giant gap (1 foot) you jumped. Common Roots Beer is back, the Black Sheep Honey Cookie Truck and all our sponsors are back on board and it looks to be a fantastic event. Most importantly, our barbeque and food people are back and already planning for the food. Thank you to the Town of Queensbury Recreation Department for having us back again. We look forward to seeing you at the races!! 

Welcome to the Churney Gurney Festival!!

 The Churney Gurney Grew out of our love of Mountain Biking and running and our need to fundraise for our summer Camp. Each year we run a summer camp for children on the autism spectrum. Our goal has been to provide those children with a true outdoor summer camp experience. Camp under the Woods is in its 10th year and our camp would not be possible without support from our fundraising. The Churney Gurney is one of our main fundraisers, each year making it possible for many children to be able to attend camp. This year we will run a 2 day festival with a 5 mile trail running race, our Churney Gurney Mountain bike race, Demo Rides, Food, Common Roots beer, and much more. You will not find a more family friendly event or park.

Under the Woods Foundation's mission is to provide experiences that are unique, creative and adventurous for children that are “differently abled” including, but not limited to autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disabilities, and their families. Under the Woods Foundation implements outdoor summer camps for children which incorporate creative activities, nature themes, family participation, and other related activities. Camp Under the Woods and Camp Summer Social are programs that have been created through the Foundation. The Camp supports community development and awareness of children and their families who are impacted by autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disabilities.
